How to access Case-Memos
Make sure you are logged in to your CanDoo account.
Navigate to desired CanLII case document.
Click on the conversation button at the top right corner to open the side panel.
By default, CanDoo will open the memo tab to start generating the memo. You can also manually select the "Memo" tab to access this feature.
Read our auto-generated case memo for a concise summary of the case and use the clickable references to promptly verify information contained within.
You can quickly provide feedback on the memo by giving a thumbs up or down, or use the feedback pop-up for a more detailed review. Additionally, you can easily copy or share the memo with colleagues or clients via email or direct link.
We fine-tuned a LLaMa-3 model on a in-house legal-specific corpus such that it can work better on the legal domain. For sensitive cases, CanDoo makes use of this model from which responses are slightly slower.
